Slide Rock Park is a real park with the BBQ huts, fields, and I think you even pay for parking. If you want more trails and less water, you could head southwest to Red Rock Park. This is a great place for a family vacation. How could you not have fun sliding down slippery rocks? We were traveling here in early March and there were people in the water. The hills around this park are the same system as at Devil's Bridge, but you would head to the east side of Sedona and take Route 89A North to get to Slide Rock Park.
