The Burren is a huge area of almost exclusively limestone rock that was pushed up from the ocean floor thousands of years ago. Still not much signs of life. It's hard for plants to grow here because the soil is so shallow. Interesting sightseeing if you like nature and, if you do, it's worth seeing the Burren Display Center.

There are also a couple of examples of burial stones that are kind of famous. I guess it would be hard to dig a grave in the limestone, so there was some burial ritual associated with the stones. You can see one in the upper left photo.

And a little farther north, you get to Galway Bay. I think the bus tour guide felt sorry for us because of the weather at the Cliffs of Moher, so we got a special stop to take photos of Galway Bay / Harbor.
