| Just north of Killarney, on the west coast of Ireland, the Shannon River takes a long time to empty out to the ocean. There is a large bay / harbor that ends up in Limerick, at the point where the river really opens up. The ferry saved a lot of driving, and it was a nice break from the bus. | ||
