| It is a good long walk from the parking lot to the Mayan ruins, so you should probably take the shuttle bus if you don't like walking that much. On the other hand, if you are just going to jump in the Tulum [Telum] beach, then you might not mind getting a little sweaty. |

| I'm very confused on how to spell Tulum - Telum, so I give you both. Downtown Tulum [Pueblo] is small and quiet compared to Cancun or Playa del Carmen. Tulum is close to the attractions of Coba and Sian Kaan Biosphere, and quite far away from Chichen Itza. |

| As you can see, there is not a lot of shade at the ruins site, the beach, or on the road you need to walk to get there. Bring a hat and something to protect you from the sun. Here is a little background on the Tulum [Telum] Ruins. |
