This page in the tour begins an (incomplete) walking tour of Minneapolis. We start out on the eastern end of downtown here at the Mill City Museum near the river, travel west until we get to the Minneapolis Convention Center, and end at the Walker Art Center and Sculpture Garden.

The Mill City Musuem in downtown Minneapolis is located in a remodeled mill that had lost most of the building in a huge fire. Actually, it was first destroyed by a flower dust explosion, but the most recent fire is thought to have been caused by squatters living in the old mill.

The museum is fairly large, covering a couple of floors. You could spend a couple of hours walking around, especially if you take the guided freight-elevator tour. You wind up on the top floor and get a great view of the Stone Arch Bridge, considered a Minneapolis Tourist Site.
