Photos of Battery Park - Downtown NYC

| As you can see from the last photo, you don't get a great view of the Statue of Liberty from Battery Park, but you can get the Liberty or Ellis Island Ferry to get there. There are not a lot of parks in the Financial District of downtown NYC. This is a great place to escape the caverns of skyscrapers for a while, get some air, and enjoy the view. Something similar to what I said about Bryant Park in Midtown. | ||

| This is the last stop of my walking tour of the southern end of Manhattan. You can follow the green arrows backwards to see the whole thing. The next walking tour is of the "lower" section (smaller builgings) of downtown NYC and starts out in Greenwich Village. I'm suggesting you take the "1" train to Christopher Street / Sheridan Square to start that tour. | ||
