| I recommend a walking tour of Fort Adams State Park just about any time of year you go on a vacation /holiday. If it is below 30 deg F, though, it can be a little like the arctic tundra. You can see on the Park's homepage that there are a lot of things to do here in warmer weather. | ||

| I originally got familiar with the park because of the fact the Newport Jazz Festival (now the JVC Jazz Festival) is held here each year. Back in the 1980's we could show up and pay to get in. The last time I tried to go some years ago, the event was sold out, so buy some tickets ahead of time. It is a great place to hear a concert. | ||
