| The lower dells army duck tours last about an hour. The amphibious "duck" vehicles tour both through wooded trails and in the water. There is similar scenery of unique rock formations and river landscapes to the Upper Dells boat tour. These tours do not have any stops on them. You need to enter and exit the duck from a platform (unless you come across a snapping turtle in the road :-). | ||

| The army ducks got their names from the codes that described the vehicle: D= Year of first manufacture 1942, U = Utility amphibious vehicle, K = All wheel drive, W = Rear tandem axle. Here is a page that shows some Army Duck Photos before they were modified for civilian use. | ||
