25 Rock of Cahel & Shannon Ferry

Okay, so I didn’t actually see this “Rock of Cashel” thing up close. It’s big, grey, lots of stones. You might see some other things like that on this picture tour. At least you get a nice panoramic shot of the Irish countryside.

Just north of Killarney, on the west coast of Ireland, the Shannon River takes a long time to empty out to the ocean. There is a large bay / harbor that ends up in Limerick, at the point where the river really opens up. The ferry saved a lot of driving, and it was a nice break from the bus.
