Wow. I'm not sure what to say, except that I have been in modern art museums and not enjoyed the art / architecture as much as the inside of the Minnesota State Capitol building. There are a lot of references to stars, as Minnesota is known as the "L'étoile du Nord", or "the north star" state. There are only a few references to gophers, the state mascot, because they are a little goofier.

If you visit the Minnesota State Capitol Building, I suggest you take one of the tours. The one I took was very small and didn't take too long. That way, someone with a key will let you up on the roof so you can see the State Capitol Building exterior.
