Killington Mountain Gondola
I think this page has better Vermont landscape scenery pictures than the first Killington Mountain. I took a ride in the K-1 gondola in the summer of 2007 and I think it cost 14 USD round trip. There a lot of hiking trails around this area and people can bring their mountain bikes up in the gondola to take a ride down. I read there are gondala rides in the autumn to view the fall foliage.
These photos taken in 2007.
You can see there is a small cafeteria type of restaurant at the top of K-1. It has shorter hours and more limited menu in the summer. Great views though, so you can spend a while up here without doing any skiing. I didn’t see a real “downtown” area of Killington, VT. It seems spread out in mini strip malls and the lodges, whereas at Okemo Mountain, you can park and walk around downtown Ludlow.
