| These pictures are from in and around Penn Station in NYC, 7th Avenue and 34th Street. It includes Madison Square Garden, which is above Penn Station, and a bit of the Fashion District "Walk of Fame" that is on 7th Avenue just north of the station. Penn Station is where Amtrak, the Long Island Railroad, and the New Jersey Transit trains arrive. Very functional, but not much to look at, the way that the Grand Central Terminal building is. | ||

| This page is an addendum to a walking tour of Midtown Manhattan. I started out in Grand Central Station, but I understand many people come to the city via Penn Station. If you do, I would walk up 7th Ave (see/visit the Empire State Building?) to Times Square, walk east (right) on 42nd Street to see Bryant Park and Grand Central Station. You could then take the Lexington Avenue Subway "6" train (green line) to 51st Street to visit Rockefeller Center and Saint Patrick's Cathedral. | ||
