There you have it. The sign in the center photo at the top says Woodstock is "famous" for the architecture of its houses and churches. Hmph! Who knew? It seems more likely to me that people came here because Woodstock had the first ski tow in the United States back in 1934. The town of Woodstock, Vermont is between Killington and Quechee on Vermont Route 4.

There is a nice "town green" area and the streets are very quaint. I'm sure leaf-peapers flock here in the fall / autumn to see the fall foliage. There are art shops, souvenirs, ice cream, and mid-upscale restaurants, but I couldn't find a no-nonsense diner like in Windsor, VT or Claremont, NH.
