Tara Hill was the seat of the Kings of Ireland for almost 700 years, from the 3rd to the 10th century. It also served as a ring fort and has burial graves dating back to 2000 BC. I should explain the poop. The bus driver said it was good luck if you stepped in it. I’d much rather have had someone tell me that the entire hill is covered in sheep dung.

Tara Hill is a great vantage point to see the Irish countryside from. There is also a church located here. I think the statue is of some saint saying, “Hey, you, cut out that celtic crap right now!”, but I’m not sure. It is beautiful scenery of Ireland, but there are no remains of Tara Hill, just the mounds of grass.
