The Burren is a huge area of almost exclusively limestone rock that was pushed up from the ocean floor thousands of years ago. Still not much signs of life. It's hard for plants to grow here because the soil is so shallow. Interesting sightseeing if you like nature and, if you do, it's worth seeing the Burren Display Center. There are also a couple of examples of burial stones that are kind of famous (look like stone platforms).
