Montezuma’s Well

At Montezuma’s Well, you can get a lot closer to the dwellings built into the side of the rock than you can at Montezuma’s Castle. There aren’t a lot of trails here, but there is some nice shady spots near the exit of the well. There are 4 tourist sites clustered together just southeast of Sedona off of Route 179: Yavapai-Apache Cultural Center (no pics), V-bar-V Ranch Petroglyphs, Montezuma’s Well National Monument (this page), and Montezuma’s Castle National Monument.
