"Come for the weather, stay for the redwoods". I don't think that is a saying, I just made it up. I wish I could include a "smell" tag for this forest. It was pretty incredible. A big benefit of the Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park is that it goes right up to the California Coastline. You can see the "totally tubular" tunnel that you can take to walk under the Pacific Coastal Highway near the bottom of the page.

Truth be told, I don't know a California redwood tree versus a sequoia tree versus a cedar tree. In any case, these trees are giant and very impressive. The trails are very walkable and this park is a great stop if you get to go to California on a vacation /holiday.
