| It would be a mistake to think you could visit the Forbidden City AND some other tourist site in the same day on your vacation. I spent a whole day at this site and there were many parts of it that I didn't see. In addition to all the buildings and architecture to look at, there are also many museums. The people who are putting on foot wraps are going into the clock museum. | ||

| At the opposite end of the palace from Tiananmen Square is a garden area with sculptures and ornately decorated smaller buildings. If you only can see one other site while in Beijing, it should probably be The Great Wall of China. | ||
