Beijing China is a major metropolitan city with a mixture of old and new architecture, a lot like New York, except the “old” in Beijing is really, really old. I was on vacation in Beijing for only 3 days. The most famous tourist site is, of course, the Forbidden City (Imperial Palace). I would also recommend you try to get to the Temple of Heaven, which is also in the city.

If you have a day available, it is not a long bus tour to go to the Great Wall of China. The tour was lead in English (here are my photos) and it also stopped at Ming’s Tomb and Sacred Way.
