This tour site was part of a day trip on my vacation that went to the Great Wall of China and then both Ming Tombs and Sacred Way.. I don’t know much about the history, but it is very old. You can read in the larger photos that it was started in the 1400’s. You can see in the map below that the Sacred Way is right next to Mount HU. Even the trees are ancient and there is one that somebody went through a lot of trouble to keep alive.

Ming Tombs Near Beijing

The Ming Tombs are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There is a huge walkway with very impressive stone sculptures known as the “Sacred Way” section. A very pleasant walk in the country surroundings.
