Forbidden City / Imperial Palace in China

It would be a mistake to think you could visit the Forbidden City AND some other tourist site in the same day on your vacation. I spent a whole day at this site and there were many parts of it that I didn’t see. In addition to all the buildings and architecture to look at, there are also many museums. The people who are putting on foot wraps are going into the clock museum. This link explains much of the history of the Forbidden City.

At the opposite end of the palace from Tiananmen Square is a garden area with sculptures and ornately decorated smaller buildings. If you only can see one other site while in Beijing, it should probably be The Great Wall of China.
