| These pictures were taken from a walk on and around the Brooklyn Bridge in lower Manhattan. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who only has a short time for a vacation (holiday) in NYC. Apart from taking a boat trip around Manhattan, walking the Brooklyn Bridge will probably be the best view of the city you can get. You can see right down the river to South Street Seaport... And it's free! Just take the Green Line subway to City Hall. |

| The architecture of the bridge is impressive on its own, but there aren't many other places to see the skyline of Manhattan so conveniently. There is also a nice park if you do make it all the way to the other side in Brooklyn. The shiny metal bridge closest to the Brooklyn Bridge is the Manhattan Bridge. |
