Here are a few photos of the most famous museums in New York City. If you only can see 1 or 2 museums, these are the ones to go to. The first 12 photos are from in and around the Museum of Natural History. It is on the west side of Central Park You can take the "B" Orange train or the "C" Blue Line subway and get off at 81st street to get there.

The last 7 pictures are of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MMA), which is part of Museum Mile and the best art museum to see. Get to the MMA by taking the Green Line subway to 86th street and look for the park. I like site-seeing better than being indoors, so here are some links to many more NYC Museums.

This page is part of a walking (+subway) tour of uptown NYC. We have toured or took the train to 86th Street on the Lexington Avenue Green Line (4,5,6) and Saw the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Now we will walk around Central Park and come out almost at the Museum of Natural History.
