This page is full of random photos from the Upper West Side of Manhattan NYC. The architecture is eclectic, with many older stone buildings from 4 to 8 stories. It is not filled with skyscrapers the way Midtown Manhattan or Wall Street are.

My completely unprofessional, tourist impression is that the Upper West Side is more residential than the Upper East Side. It is easier to find a restaurant or convenience store. The next stop on the "walking" tour is arrived at by taking the subway: Take the "1" train on the Red Line to the 116th Street Columbia University stop.
