Fort Adams State Park – RI

I recommend a walking tour of Fort Adams State Park just about any time of year you go on a vacation /holiday. If it is below 30 deg F, though, it can be a little like the arctic tundra. You can see on the Park’s web page that there are a lot of things to do here in warmer weather.

I originally got familiar with the park because the Newport Jazz Festival is held here each year. It is a really great place to hear a concert, but they always sell out now, so buy tickets in advance, and bring a hat if it’s sunny.
