Treasure Island, Florida, is on the Gulf (west) coast of Florida in the Tampa – St. Petersburg area. It has a REALLY HUGE beach. My father said it was a popular vacation spot, but as you can see, it was pretty empty in early January. There are a bunch of hotels on the main street, but it is nothing like the tourist area of Miami Beach.
